Maria Clotilde Schenetti's works have always been characterized by a strong poetic tension and an extraordinary narrative ability. In fact, each of his works seems to open a threshold towards an imaginary elsewhere, where the pictorial sign does not simply describe reality, but transfigures it, inviting the observer to enter a dimension suspended between memory, dream and inner perception.
Even in these new works the artist confirms his stylistic signature, leading us inside a flower garden that has nothing purely decorative. The flowers become a living presence, almost symbolic creatures capable of enchanting the gaze through changing and luminous colours, sometimes dazzling, sometimes more collected, introspective, almost removed from the light of the sun. It is a painting that alternates vital impulses and meditative silences, in a continuous balance between chromatic energy and mystery.
Both works are made in acrylic, a technique that Maria Clotilde Schenetti masters with considerable skill. The pictorial material appears fluid, stratified, capable of creating depth and transparencies that amplify the emotional component of the image. Nothing is left to chance: every brushstroke contributes to building a complex and engaging narrative structure.
In the past we have already had the opportunity to admire Schenetti's gardens and flowers, recurring themes of her artistic research. However, these new compositions seem to contain something further, almost a magical dimension. The gardens appear wrapped in a mysterious veil, as if they belonged to a secret place of memory or the unconscious. And among the flowers a hidden gaze seems to emerge, a discreet eye that observes and protects this delicate and silent universe.
It is precisely in this ambiguity between visible and invisible that Schenetti's work finds its most authentic strength: the ability to evoke deep emotions without ever declaring them openly, leaving it up to the viewer to complete the story with their own sensitivity and imagination.
