Gabriele and Maria Clotilde Schenetti, brothers (an excellent artistic-cultural combination), go "Walking around Sassuolo". He, researcher and cartographer, dialect poet and historian, declaims in brilliant verses, with nice irony, 14 characteristic sites of his hometown: The Politeama, The Via delle Muraglie, The Grande Palazzo, The Paolotti, Vicolo Conce, The Fontanazzo, The Duomo, Piazzale Porrino, Piazza Piccola, The Guglia, The Aiuola, Viale XX Settembre, The Old Cemetery, Piazza Grande. Retracing, therefore, the paths of the past, not as a nostalgic remembrance and climbing on the glories of the Duchy, but for a simple reason: "You are today, you will be tomorrow, because you were yesterday".
She, with clear pictorial class, paints her brother's verses in a sort of parallelism of the arts, since "Painting can be silent poetry, and poetry can be a speaking painting" (Plutarch, Greek philosopher and writer). In summary, their artistic, cognitive, emotional and social functions induce the reader to get lost between the lines, between the paintings, between the postcards of Sassuolo, in order to experience a world illuminated by symbolism.
